Preschool Programs
Story time at the library every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the children’s room.
Teddy Bear Picnic last Thursday in May at 10:30 a.m. All welcome! Bring a lovey, storytime outside, and a project, followed by potluck picnic.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten: Download an easy-to-keep reading log of how many books you and your child read.
After School Programs
Family craft events once a month during the school year, typically on the third Wednesday of the month from 3 to 4 p.m. September to May. Preregistration is required due to limited space.
The Book Nook activity group for grades four and up. This is a branch off of the Great Stone Face reading program and has become a fun, itneractive group doing various activities. Activity suggestions and book recommendations are welcome.
Spring Play.
Annual Autumn Party for 4th-grade and up. Costume required. RSVP and sign up for a pot luck meal.
Story Walk
Depot Street to West Joppa Road. Starts at the Library near the entrance on Depot Street. Walk downhill on the sidewalk and cross the street to the trail. Includes twenty-one podiums, each with a page of a book, along the Warner River, about 1/3 mile each way. Ends at the covered bridge on W. Joppa Rd. Book changed out monthly.

STEAM to GO Kits
These include a book, a game, and projects; a great way to learn and have fun together.
- Math Games and Trivia (Grade 4 and up).
- Math Patterns and Tactile Kit (Pre-K to Grade 1).
- Circuits and Technology Kit (Grade 4 and up).
- Wind Power (Ages 8 and up).
- Building and Design (Ages 5 and up).
- Pulleys (Grades 4 and up.)
- Snaptricity (Ages 8 and up).
We also have a set of cuisinart rods to review fractions.
These were purchased with funds from a NH State Library Summer Learnign Grant, provided by the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation, Cogswell Benevolent Trust, Children’s Librarians of NH (CLNH) and otehr funds administered by the NH State Library and Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Additional Information
Borrowing via curbside pickup is still available. You can make requests by placing holds in the catalog, through online requests, or phone calls.
